The line graph compares how many books read by men and women at Burnaby Public Library between 2011 and 2014.
As an overall trend, it is clearly seen that in the earlier years of the period women liked reading books than men but last years of the graph shows that the rate of men became much higher than women.
The number of books read by women increased gradually from 4.000 to 6.800 between 2011 and 2012. This number continued to go up to 10.000 in 2013 before dropping down to 8.000 in 2014. In contrast, there was a slight climb in reading books by men from 2.000 to 3.900 until 2012. Thereafter, the rate of men rose quickly to 10.000 and become same with the number of women in 2013. After this year there was a significant climb to 14.000
